MY GREAT RESOURCE

Meditation instructions for kids.
Objectives:
Sometimes kids are over excited and you need to calm them down. A resource like this is useful for helping students to relax and focus before starting the class.
Sometimes we teach our students about how to look after their body but not about how to look after their mind. The objective of it is to help students to take a break and identify that they are in the class and they are going to start the lesson.
Process:
It is based on a video of a Monkey who explains different steps to relax based on breathing exercises. It might be good for the teacher to establish a routine and use the video at the beginning of the English class (not everyday).
Most of the times the English teacher is not the tutor, or you might have class after the break and it could be good as an strategy to make kids understand that the class has started.
Children should sit on the chair and listen and follow the instructions that the Monkey gives. One it finishes the teacher should start the class once the students have had some time to relax.
